Hi, I’m brady,

I started Crucible Counselling Services because I want to help men make their map of life, grow into the best version of themself, and navigate lifes pressures. The work I do is founded on the belief that periods of pressure, uncertainty, and change are opportunities for reflection, growth, and transformation.

At Crucible, we offer a calm, respectful, and confidential space for clients to speak and explore their thoughts and feelings honestly. Whether that involves stress, identity, fatherhood, relationships, emotional overwhelm, anger, or a broader sense of feeling stuck or disconnected. My approach is thoughtful, relational, and tailored to the individual, recognising that no two people experience struggle in exactly the same way.

My Approach

I work from an integrative psychotherapy framework, with a particular interest in supporting men, fathers, and individuals navigating significant life transitions. Many of the clients I am drawn to work with are carrying stress, responsibility, identity shifts, relationship strain, emotional disconnection, or the demands of parenthood, often while trying to keep functioning for others around them.

My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should be responsive to the individual rather than confined to a rigid model. Integrative psychotherapy allows me to draw from a range of therapeutic perspectives and interventions in order to meet each client in a way that is thoughtful, relevant, and tailored to their needs. This flexible approach recognises that people differ not only in what they are facing, but in how they process experience, build insight, and create change.

For some clients, therapy may centre on reflection, emotional understanding, and exploring deeper patterns. For others, it may involve practical strategies, clearer structure, and support with immediate challenges. Often, meaningful therapy includes both. My aim is to create a space that feels calm, respectful, and grounded, where clients can speak honestly, develop greater clarity, and move toward change in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

I have a particular interest in working with men and fathers because these groups are often navigating complex pressures with limited spaces to speak openly and be met with understanding. Whether a client is facing stress, anger, uncertainty, fatherhood, relationship difficulty, or a broader sense of feeling stuck, I aim to offer support that is both relational and purposeful.

At the heart of my work is a flexible, client-centred philosophy: that therapy should honour the individual, adapt to the moment, and support not only relief from distress, but deeper and more lasting transformation.
